The Original Clay Animation Classic!

Holy Toledo! It's Gumby and his pals Pokey, Prickle and Goo, in their classic animated Toyland adventures. They fly to the moon, explore strange lands, and enter the pages of storybooks - returning to the days of knights in shining armor, Pilgrims in the new world, cowboys and Indians of the Old West, and much, much more. Television's legendary clay characters, first introduced on Howdy Doody, live one great fantasy after another in this collection of original episodes from the '50s and '60s. It's a timeless, fun-filled world of magic and wonder where the imagination rules.

Disc Seven:
Art Clokey was born in Detroit in 1921. His childhood held many memorable visits with his grandparents, on a Michigan farm where a sticky mud called Gumbo was plentiful. He often played with his friends, in a creek behind the farm, building gumbo forts and gumbo soldiers. In the farm-house living room, a High School graduation photo to Art's father hung on the wall. The bump on Gumby's head is inspired by the cowlick or hair-style worn by Art's dad in that photo…
